The Archive is now Public!

We've been working on trying to build an archive of all of the various WinMX related programs and Addons we could find... and there are a lot of them!

The archive can be accessed by clicking "Archive" at the top of any page.

We need yout help though - unfortunately there are a lot of programs, and some of them have many different versions, so if you have something that we are missing, let us know so we can put it in there

Note: you have to be registered with the forum to download files from it, although you are free to browse it without logging in.

Yea, I looked there, and I like the collection of the tools on there  
How about adding a search function to it? That would make it easier to find what you are looking for

Yes it never seemed to do anything exciting but I like the logo on it for Fedez

What I am seeking is the 1.0.0 and 1.1.1. versions of Fxserver.

personally what i'd like to see most are the older versions of nushi's chat client... no doubt that are only in Japanese versions, but thats not exactly a problem...

I tried to download some of the add-ons,plugins today, but i couldn't download anything.
I get this error message IE can't download xxx file from archives.winmxworld.com.IE wasn't able to open this internet site.The requested site is either unavailable or can't be found.Please try again.

I downloaded LeecHammer 1.2 (For WinMX 3.53) - 120704.zip  when I tried to unzip it with MS zip extract wizard, it says no file to extract.
When i check the properties,it says size:775 kb(794,086bytes) size on disk:800 kb (819,200 bytes).So there most be something in it.

well, according to the archive, the file is 2.5 MB - the download probably got cut off before it finished, try again

It would be nice to have info on what the winmx  chatroom server /cladd-ons or plug-ins do  or what they're for.
winmx patch version 5 (no IP, beta 2).zip what's that   it looks interesting.

Where do I start here, lol

The archive has only been online for a short while so indexing and describing all the items is a bit of a big job for the small team we currently have, but is in progress, as usual volunteers are more than welcome  
 
For the WnMX patch

This patch fixes:

- host gets booted when typing to much to fast (annoying winmx problem)
- double entering, allowing to hide one self (nushi chat, all versions i believe)
- renaming to a name someone else has, cloning (nushi poison)
- entering with a name someone else has, cloning (nushi 1.8 and before)
- clearing the user list (nushi poison)
- text flooding by delaying typed text (all nushi versions i believe)
- entering with rtf codes in name (old and new found codes)
- typing of rtf codes in the room (old and new found codes)
- fast renames, rename thread vunerability (unsure if this is exploited yet)
- fast renames, anti-kick (chat crasher tool)
- mass joins, parallel mass joins (chat crasher tool)
- mass joins, sequential mass joins and parts (unexploited as far as i know)

For MXlinx heres a description

MXlinx is a small multi-purpose tool for WinMX client.

Its features are divided into four main parts:
Queue Watcher, which keeps leeches out of your queue, opens new slots when upload speed is not sufficient, starts your friends immediately
SpeedUp, which finds new sources more frequently than WinMX does
OpenNap Servers List Updater, which can update your OpenNap Servers List
HASH Engine, which can start downloads in your WinMX client with one mouse click, generates HASH codes for your private files, and much more...

I hope that helps you, work is progressing on many fronts on the site, so it may be a while yet till many of the items can be matched up to descriptive texts.

There are a few jobs that we could do with a hand on, the description writing is open to anyone as is tutorial writing for any of the apps.
We normally screenshot and add text for most of the programs for easy reference.
Also folks are welcome to help manage the forum at a more international level, other language speakers are invited to join us in translating some of the tutorials for there own languages.

At the moment the team here consists of about 5 people all tasked for their specific area of expertise but this is a real community site and we do actively encourage and support involvement from the members, this means you ..lol  

Anyone wishing to start on a project or tutorial etc drop me a private message and I,ll coordinate your work with the rest of the team, cheers

i have fx serv 1.16 if thats any help i aslo put the hosts file etc etc with screenshots in a zip with the riched.dll and olepro.dll in the zip
i have chat attack zipped with a small few word on how to use it mcs0.2.2
mcs0.2.3.1  metis.2.10  metis.2.20  metis.2.21 metis.2.42 metis.2.44 metis.2.60.metis.2.41 i also have ouka.41.20c rcms.71 robo serv.1.00 shareguard.2.10 winmx3.54 beta and that tsc music addon if i can help with anything i will try my best to help out

Hi Talamascan, I have all of those in the archive except for MCS and chatattack.
Those two have been withheld from the archive on purpose. although they are mostly redundant now.
