When I click the settings tab the dialog box moves up the screen. Each time I click the settings it moves further up the screen until I cannot see it, hence cannot adjust any settings. I have tried restarting WinMX but it dosn't help. Can anyone help please?

hmm, go to your winmx folder (c:\program files\winmx) and delete all of the files except winmx.exe - that will get it back by clearing all of your settings - but as for why it keeps moving up... no idea

if it still moves up again after that, does moving it down make it open in the lower position the next time its opened? because thats a good way to stop it getting lost again

Thats a windows gilitch, especially bad on 2000. seems to fix itself after a while though.

Oi you boys are making this way more serious then it is..

Simply right click your WinMX icon in your system tray near the clock and choose "Reset all windows".... POOF

magically fixed without the delets or glitches.. lol
