I like the idea of this, it has the flavour of opening a time capsule and no doubt many of us will be amazed at some of the ways of living of generations gone by.

For the first time in its history BBC News is opening its archives to the UK public for a trial period. You can download nearly 80 news reports covering iconic events of the past 50 years including the fall of the Berlin Wall, crowds ejecting soldiers from Beijing's Tiananmen Square and behind-the-scenes footage of the England team prior to their victory over West Germany in 1966.

Yeah....I heard about this about a week ago, and was gonna post it here somewhere, but forgot. I haven't been to their site yet, as I have other opennap things going on lately, lol.

 Seems I also heard that they have posted a disclaimer about how they don't own some of the copyrights to some of the material, so we had to download at our own discretion.
