Help wcs advanced keeps freezing up! I can host a room and put the bot in there, Metis 2.60, and every time that I put robomx or winmx in there the server freezes after a couple of seconds. I have had a couple of ppl come in and it seems to me that they flood my ports. I have banned them. This wasn't an issue until today .

WCS "advanced" is a broken program. I think you should get rid of it and get the latest WCS release from
www.kingmacro.net.

Well its a shame that production of this has stopped as i think it is really good, as for freezing the only time i could get it to freeze was one in the config i had more than one room set in the settings, apart from that it hosts fine for days, this is really cool, an maybe me noticing this might make the creator kick bk in to fixing it, it doesnt work with the new beta versions realleased by km just recently, so it does need abit of work on it but this is a great little addon for WCS and i hope it doesnt just die in the water

If i take a glance at it, i think i should drop it in the trash or just rewrite it entirely.
Though i can get it working with the latest WCS releases so you
will (maybe) find it fixed at http://winmx.p2pforum.it
(along with a powerful bot that is standing there since a few days)

Well to be honest mate if prodution could restart on this u have a beta tester willing anytime, i think its a really good program and with the little bugs ironed out this could be brilliant, please keep me informed of ure progress and when advanced is available to try, Good luck

I would also be interested in seeing a new version of this server.
You have some good ideas and i am sure if u picked up where u left off u would come up with a very popular chat server.

need some advice. i'm trying to set up wcs server for winmx chat room. room has been up. got the file from winmx, tutorial shows how the installation should go. how do i start installation ? need this server so i can send pics with color to room. at present room is up without server. i'm at ! ::::CHRISTMAS MUSIC:::: on win chat. any help would be thankfully accepted. thanks.

i have been using this advanced and i like it. the faetures seem to work for me.i like the sounds too cuz if im in another few windows i can check who entered or exited and be able to be more available in room. i think it kicks ass,however i broke it somehow yesterday lol..now its less than advanced wcs. it dont even have a reload button anymore lol...but thats me always breaking crap lol.anyways thanks for the cool tool . have a great day!!!

Hi Oldtime & Crow,
there has been testing done on wcs advanced, and the conclusion was, it is not a stable program and people was advised to use the normal wcs.

there is a wcs betta 8 version out for windows or linux, i have the betta 8 windows in my shared and i have tried it, and its good, i now has similar text fiormats to fxs so its more customisable for looks than before, it minimises to system tray (small icon) and still has the ability to use less wpn connections if preferred.

I need assistance, I cant open my chatroom in WCS. I just wanna host my chatroom but no wounder I cant get in and chat... Is this WCS a joke???

no, its not a joke.

Firstly... you can download a propper good version of WCS from this website: www.kingmacro.net
or here with a config included: httpss://archive.winmxworld.com/Patched%20Cache%20Programs/wcs%201.7.2.zip

now thats out of the way, i need to know if your connecting through a network/router and or using a firewall

the most probable reason why you cant enter your room is probably because your router/firewall isnt configured for the chatroom, or in some cases the host needs to use what is called a loopback roomname..

If you could comfirm all of the above, please let us know..
if you get stuck then let us know too

Also.. so we could more better help you, i would recomend you drop by the Winmx world help room

Could you please get rid of that box that remains when you minimise WCS, or have the box minimise with it.. I think the box is the output for the Server nick

Hi Prometheus,
the annoying box, if you mean the 1 that sits on your taskbar at bottom of your screen, that stays there on WCS1.6 but if you use WCS1.8b8 the box does go to the system tray as a small square icon.
