Hi all

Just wanted some info on this server

What advantages does this server have over the normal WCS server?

I know u can kick, ban and exile from the server its self and u can minimise it but is that it?

hi i,m interested in the advance part i have 1.7.3 and is there a advanced wcs?????? also is there any way of cheacking for lag without a bot????

The "WCS Advanced" is a modified WCS that String was working on.
I was a little worried that he is using a closed source program to improve upon as that technically makes it illegal, but KM has not made any major complaints about it so he must feel it has interest value.

String asked us not to host any of his releases and so I can only point you to the place where he normally releases them.

Please remember these are modified versions that are built on the existing WCS server and so may not be as stable as a release made with all the src code to hand.

This is the the better WCS mod i have ever made.
I just need a little time to get it working in a decent way.
I hope that KM will not releasse a new version of his client right now...

if you name it mod01.dll (i assume it is all still implimented within a dll...) then it doesn't matter if i do any updates, you don't need to keep hexing out bits of the file and modiying it to get it to load your dll... btw, it also loads that dll straight away rather than when loading the interface as you suggested before...

of course in theory an update could go and break it, but considering it's only really been minor bug fixes in most of the recent updates... when i get around to doing any major updates it wouldn't be compatible with an auto update anyway

Those connection displays look just like the ones in Nacs, but they look rather nice

Good Morning, I am using ver. 1.7.3 WCS Chat Server. Since yesterday it says that the server is Offline and there are zero (0) primary connections. However the room didn't crash and everything works. Do I have to reboot to get restablish the primary connections.

Take a glance to the sourcecode and see yourself what is going wrong... I know you are able to do that...

Your cutesy, artsy flash webpage doesn't work on my system [XP + mozilla/seamonkey]

then the flash loads.

clicking the 'download' button shows 2 files, WCS adv 1.7.3 (release 3) and the cource code for it. I select the first, click the 'download' button at the bottom of the file list but nothing happens. I can't get either file.

Is there a non-flash version of your webpage available? or direct URL links to the files?

I have my Join flood set as it is recommended at 1... for some reason when this person tries to connect they cannot. if they leave the room and try to come back in this happens to them.. I dont know why this is occuring... Any ideas?

WCS has a built in join flood protection.
