The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has been granted control of a
website that pretended to be affiliated with EFF and was spreading
malware. The site, EletronicFrontierFoundation.org, is believed to have
been run by Russian cybercriminals. The EFF launched a uniform dispute
resolution process (EDRP) complaint with the United Nations (UN) agency
World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which issued a judgment
giving control of the site to the EFF.
