Looks like some cant leave good enough alone

I was using dll patch up until today.  Earlier today i had no problems with dll patch the all of a suden winmx kept crashing on me after 30 sec to a min.  I started looking for solutions to this problem, as my friends started sending me msgs that they were having same problem, each of us trying different methods.  finally we found the only solution to get mx back running was to switch to PIE patch.  I would preffer to run dll patch but if others are going to play games to be king of the hill, it seems the mx community is going to suffer another setback before long.  can someone please advise me as to why all of a sudden 1.9 dll patch stopped working.

Right now Mechanic we are still trying to determine what is causing this error, its something that has happened about 3 times in the last 6 weeks.  Its usually the same people each time and as mysteriously as it appears a problem it disappears also..

My best advise at this time is to install the Install 1.9 for 98/ME systems and run peerguardian for blocking the riaa if your primary.. so far this seems to be working..

Seems to be the case here. After erroring out several times in a ro, it's been running fine for over an hour. Could be they're gearing up for a major assault.

Today was the first time it happened to me though. I have noticed a seeming deadness as far as users.
