Time for more encryption folks https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-48458710
A proposal by the UK security agency GCHQ to eavesdrop on encrypted messages has been strongly criticised by big tech firms and rights groups.
Google and Apple were among 47 firms to sign an open letter, saying it was a "serious threat" to trust and security.
The GCHQ plan would effectively mean that a copy of every encrypted message would be sent to the security services.
The technique resembled the way that GCHQ currently used wiretaps to listen to unencrypted chat, said the agency.
As always it seems the inept and lazy want the rest of us to trust them with our entire digital lifestyles, including our bank accounts, private emails and anything else they can use if they dont like the colour of your socks one day.
I am amazed they are so clueless as to let virtually all terrorists know they are so inept and incapable of real targetted intelligence work, instead they simply want to spy on everyone "just in case", of course I'm all for this if the politicians who rubber stamp such stupidity take lie detector tets when they enter office and make promises but until then I dont see why they deserve such an enourmous privilige from us , they havent really worked hard for a long time yet absorb a vast portion of our national assets, why dont they get a real job instead of reading their neighbours mail.
