I recently upgraded computers and had to go from a Windows 7 system to Windows 10. I have been using WinMX since around 2000 on multiple computers and have always found a way yo make it work. I can not get it to work properly on Windows 10. The program lags terribly. I press a button and it takes 10-20 seconds to do anything. Usually I get a program "Not Responding" when this happens and then after a while it finally comes back and performs the task. It is making the program almost impossible to use/ BTW I am running MX Monitor 1.28Ed with it. Anyone else having problems or know a fix?

Hi Trebor, are you running the exe in compatibility mode ? Also have you tried running as admin etc ?

I dont have win10 but I am sure some folks have said it works

, anyone jump in here ?

OK! I got it. Anyone else ever having this problem with WinMX and Wondows 10 Right click on you short cut or better yet go to the actual exe file. From the menu pick properties (usually at the bottom of the list. When the properties window opens up click tab Compatibility. From there put a check in the box nest to "Run in compatibility mode for:" Once that box is checked go to the pull down just below you should now be able to use the pull down to select previous versions of windows. I recommend you pick either Windows 7 or Windows XP (Service pack 3). Hit apply and close out. Open WinMX, you may have to reset some of your preference. If you running MX Monitor you will need to do the same thing for it. Make sure you pick the same compatibility mode for both program.

It does seem that we could now consolidate all the windows areas into one leaving the non windows etc as they are.

I've renamed the forum section from vista/win7 to current windows versions.
Consolidating I'd rather not, it won't help data base size any
