well, I think I"ve been here before. I can d/l just fine, but winmx will not allow uploads (timeout). I have 2 pc's. a new win11, and an older win7 (pls don't ask--ha). both connected via ethernet to one d-link router. I have created two separate port forwarding entries, one for each pc, and each having diff. port numbers with each pc's unique ipv4 address in each entry. both pc's are running avast one with anti-virus and firewall. In both firewalls, both winmx are configured the same. I can d/l and upload on the win7, but can only download on the win11. I have tried diff. port numbers on the win11, but to no avail. the setup instructions for winmx on win11, are they different?
do I need to 'run as admin' when installing winmx (setup.exe) on the win11??
do I need to run winmx in compatibility mode in win11?
does it make a diff. running public OR private networks on the win11?
