Slow Downloads

I am new to Winmx & i am not very computer literate.
I recently connected to ADSL Broadband & my music downloads were very fast, but in the last few weeks, something has happened & now it takes over an hour to download one song.
I am running Windows Xp & using Winmx 3.54.

Can anyone tell me what may have happened & how ( in simple terms ) i can fix this & get my download speed back to where it should be?

Welcome to the site and WinMx.
Its hard to say what might have caused this, we have to keep in mind that you can only get downloads as fast as the users your getting from can give to you.  For now as there is no easy answers to this problem give this link a try.

Do this with only it and WinMX open, when you get there it will first run a test of your bandwidth, then tell you easily how to make any changes you need.
