Guest check your internal IP hasnt changed, its rare usually but can happen.

Go to Start > Run  type 'cmd'
Then in the black box type 'ipconfig'  and hit enter..

Read the Default IP Address, make sure this matches the one set in the router.

Change the rules you have set to match the new IP, reboot if its required, and try to get folks in again..

Sure, when you set up your rule for WCS in your router it more then likely looked similar to this:

Name     Start Port  End Port  Protocol      IP Address

WCS        6689         6689       TCP       192.168.0.101

Now your IP address has change to say 192.168.0.102 then you will have to change this for the rule in the router, also note that you will need to change this for WinMX if you have ports set for that also.
This address is how your router knows which computer to allow this rule for, so if it gives your computer a new number the rule must match.

Guest did you change port numbers for your config file in the WCS program?
Have you made any other changes that the firewall may have flagged as dangerous and blocked?

Double check everything, many times when a change happens its a typo or something simple that is blocking entry.

Make sure the port your WCS is using is the same as the rule in the router, make sure the ip is exact as you saw in the black box, and that its not set as the number that was listed as your Gateway Address in the black box.  Then make sure if your using an XP firewall that port and program are allowed in that also...

Sometimes antivirus that has worm protection will block an application if changes are made.. so check those also.

Guest I am not sure what else to try atm.. but i can tell you that sometimes rebooting the router helps.. you shut down the computer, then 'UNPLUG' your router for one full minute.. then boot back up the system and retry then.. also rechecking everything again..

I know this is frustraiting but its usually somthing simple and its a pain but I am sure you will get it figured out..

This is starting to sound like my old linksys.. pain in the as.. well .. anyway.. let me know
