What on earth does "Click the Back button to try another link." in my WinMX window mean? ... I'm on the latest version.

That is where you normally get an Internet Explorer window to give you a message.. hopefully usually it says 'Patch Operational'.  If that page times out or wasnt available then you will see a message like that one in that bar.

Restart of WinMx will fix it all.

on the 3.53 version of the patch it will also show a message simmilar to that (depending on IE settings) due to the patch for that version not taking over the IE window and redirecting it
