Yellow Light no connection issue

I've read through all the posts and problems with connecting to WinMX and i've tried everything you've suggested. The new host ile, installing 1.9, ive even manually tried configuring my TCP/IP settings,(i do know the information needed for those fields). Everytime i start MX up, secondary and primary (primary without proxy server) options to connect always leave me stuck with a blinking yellow light and never connects. Im running on WinNT with a router and cable connection. How can i get connected? :X

If you're using NT4 as opposed to 2000 or XP this is what you'll need to do.

Download install 2.0 from www.winmxgroup.com but pick CUSTOM install & select the install for 9x/ME I know it sounds odd but this patch works on NT4 wheras the "NT" patch only works on NT5 variants.

Please if you've used a hosts file revert to a standard hosts file before trying, the two methods of connecting are known to conflict.
