WINMX HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBOLEM AND NEED TO CLOSE

I guess I spoke too soon.  The problem has returned, but no error message this time.  This is really an aggravating problem.  Any other ideas?

I have been trying to connect with winmx for over 3 hours now with no results, I am using the 3.53 version and have had no problems with it before today. I am not a computer whiz so I don't know what you are talking about when you make reference to IE7 and wouldn't know where to find it if I had it. I make a primary connection because I have a DSL connection and am sharing almost 5,000 files. I checked my firewall and it hasn't changed any that I can see, is there anything that you can suggest for me to do, I want to try and keep my 3.53 because from what I have read here most users have better luck with it. Hi Gary,

IE7 is a beta form of Internet Explorer, a web browser.  If your unsure you can right click your Big Blue E icon and choose properties.. this should tell you what version you have.  Its unlikely this is your problem. 
Not being able to connect and crashing are two different things.

Give me some more information about your current set up. 

What firewall are you refering to, do you use XP with its built in firewall?
Do you have a router?

One easy fix for this is to reinstall the latest patch from www.winmxgroup.com 
Install this with WinMx off.  Then restart the machine, let me know your information or if the above suggestion makes any difference.

Could you be a bit more eleaborate about what problems your having exactly?

What Patch do you have?
What version is it?
Are you running as primary or secondary?
Any third party add-ons such as Bendmx or Leechammer?
