What is the most compatable firewall to use with winmx.

I was using Zone Alarm and had connection issues. Any recommendations?

Have a look at this Captain,

https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/firewalls-sygate.html

Its got a current dl link, works great with MX.  Yes norton bought them because they didnt like the competition I guess, but as a firewall doesnt need upgrading often or updates.. this is still a WinMx Loving Charm of a firewall..

I used ZoneAlarm for years, after being introduced to it by some very helpful and knowledgeable peeps from a virus/trojan removal help desk.

When I began to share files over p2p nets like winmx, I found Zonealarm was too CPU intensive for my old slowboat 333mHZ computer.  Others advised using kerio, which I did and found it much less CPU intensive and far more configurable.  I switched to kerio and never looked back.  Although I highly respect legacy versions of ZoneAlarm as a general purpose firewall, I am not familiar with their current offerings.

Norton is also a good firewall for winmx. The plus side is, it always keeps the windows firewall shut and keeps it from interfering. Good interface too
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)
