Can someone please run through the process of downloading films. I know I put the title in the top search box, but what should I put in the bottom box. Then do I click on 'Video'. Thanks for any help.

You only need it in the top search box, and yes click 'video', than click search.  Make sure you have the latest 'hosts' file.

You download it here:
https://www.winmxorld.com/files/winmxworld_hosts.zip

[code]MAKE SURE WINMX IS NOT RUNNING
UNZIP THE HOSTS FILE TO YOUR DESKTOP
COPY THE HOSTS FILE AND PASTE IT TO:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
REPLACING THE EXISTING HOSTS FILE

WINDOWS XP USERS ONLY:
IN START MENU, click RUN, type CMD hit enter
TYPE THIS (or copy and paste)   ipconfig /flushdns
hit enter
close the box
Start WinMX

Hope this helps :)

Sorry, but like I said I am new to all this. I know about copying & pasteing but how do I UNZIP THE HOSTS FILE TO MY DESKTOP. When you say ' WINDOWS XP USERS ONLY' do you mean as well as or instead of the first part of your post. Sorry but I still need step by step plain English instructions until I get used to computer jargon. Thanks for your help.

Ok, if you have windows xp you have to do the second part.  If you are using another Operating System, you don't have to.  when you have the zip file on your desktop (or wherever you saved it to), right click it with your mouse and click on 'extract files here' (depending on what program you use for your zip files, it may say something different, but you want to click on something that will unzip it)  When you get the file unzipped, double click on and open 'My Computer' on your desktop, then double click on 'C', then double click on 'Windows', then double click 'system32', then double click 'drivers', then double click 'etc'.  inside the folder named etc, you paste the 'hosts' file you unzipped.  I hope this is easy to understand, let me know how it goes :)

Terri,
There is NO need to change hosts files in order to search for files, as long as your connected use what you have.

Here are the links to use to learn about the search functions

https://www.winmxorld.com/tutorials/filtering_fakes.html

https://www.winmxorld.com/tutorials/searcing_file__types.html

FYI:

NO ONE should be telling people to use a host file unless they are unable to use the .Dll to connect.  Hosts files work but are slower, and have to be updated frequently, and also have no fuction in them to block the flooding.
Its our beiief the .Dll is a better more efficient fix for most users.

Thanks.....
