When I reloaded WinMX after it went down I could not connect as a Primary.  What do I need to do to connect as Primary?

HI qaman578,

In order for Winmx to run as a primary there are some steps you may have to take to open ports in router or dsl modem, firewalls, and norton if you have 2005 +.
Below is the tutorial you should begin with if you have a router or dsl modem.

This one will help you with most of your firewalls.

This is for the Norton Worm Protection on 2005 and some 2006 models.

Those should get you started, I suggest you go through them in the order I have given you them here.  Let me know if you have any other questions about getting the ports open for primary..

First of all make sure you have the ports enabled in Settings > Internet Connection > Incoming TCP Connections and IN/OUt UDP Packets.
The Installer can't find the original site to test the ports cause winmx isn't existing anymore and disables them by default.
