This one's weird and I haven't seen any other people addressing this problem yet, I hope someone else has encountered this before. I just got back from school to my home connection and WinMX has been unable to download more than a few megs in the past 48 hours. It took me a bit to figure it out, but I just recently tried it out by downloading a common file with dozens of users: for some reason or another, whenever I make a connection and start downloading, within a minute or two the connection just stops after receiving around a meg or so.
I'm running SP1, and my ports are forwarded already; my throttles are set according to the detection tool on the site. Running the WinMX Group edition, v.3.54. My connection at my house abroad was fine (cable modem, by the by, with an old D-Link router and a "Web Star" modem provided by the provided), which is really the weirdest thing, I had no problem with this till I moved home; I even have the same service provider at home. My brother was running SoulSeek off the router one day, but not all of them. Can anyone please help? I really don't want to download two megs a night for the next four months...
