After a period of relative calm and being able to download as and when I like I'm suddenly encountering a problem. When I start a download the chosen file turns green to begin its download and then immediately turns red and cancels with the message "File Mismatch (004)". Any information as to why this is happening now and how I solve it would be gratefully received.

Hi Excalibur,

Its a relatively easy fix. On the incomplete file in your transfers screen 'right click' and choose 'Trim 10K'.. do this about 5-10 times. This happens if WinMx gets shut down suddenly without saving the last parts of the file properly and corrupts the end bits you have. Trimming those off usually fixes this.

Or you may only have a tiny percent of the file anyway, if thats the case re-downloading is best..

Thanks for the advice ME HERE. I suddenly had a brainwave and deleted the files that were dropping out and then downloaded them again and "Hey Presto!" it was all systems go again. I guess I should think things through a bit more before I panic and think Winmx is about to die on me!
