it can be done, tho as ghost ship points out it'#s relatively pointless, set up a local network & share the files locally (shared folder) then either browse the local network for the shared folder on the remote machines, or map a network drive, i've done this myself using about every version of windows from 95 onwards for winmx.. it does enable you to boot any one of several machines & have your winmx set up the same, while only keeping one copy of the shared files (saves space), the obvious disadvantage is that the machine with your files on must always be running, & winmx can take an inordinate length of time to rebuild your shared files library if library.dat is damaged, or you ever start winmx oin a remote pc WITHOUT the sharing pc being on... also to make a primary connection & for best overall performance you require port forwarding rules in your router for EACH of the pcs
