The BBC has been lambasted by classical music labels for making all nine of Beethoven's symphonies available for free download over the Internet.

This week the BBC will announce there have been more than a million downloads of the symphonies during the month-long scheme. But the initiative has infuriated the bosses of leading classical record companies who argue the offer undermines the value of music and that any further offers would be unfair competition.

Unfair competition on free music ? Are those guys taking drugs ?

These companies are obviously afraid of giving the public a decent deal and want their rip off market monopolies to stay intact, my message to them ?

BBC Three is to premiere comedy series The Mighty Boosh on the internet before it is broadcast on television.
The second series of the show will premiere via broadband from 19 July - a week before it is shown on television.
It will be the first in a number of BBC Three comedies that will be shown first via the internet

Stuart Murphy, controller of BBC Three, said: "It's a natural progression for us to make our programmes available on broadband"
"More and more homes are getting connected as there are now over six million broadband subscribers in the UK"

It seems that at least someone is not fighting shy of change and new delivery systems for digital media, well done BBC
