Cary sherman (Yes the one not known for his brains), feels that its right for companies he represents to make criminal
attacks on p2p systems, but wait... you might
be guilty of intent
in his myopic world if you are a p2p company blocking the parasites.lol http://www.freedom-to-tinker.com/?p=865
“There’s definitely a lot of spoofing going on on the networks, and nobody thinks that that’s not fair game,” said Cary Sherman, president of the Recording Industry Association of America, on Friday. “Some networks actually put out some anti-spoofing filters to enable people to get around the spoofs, and that may well be a sign of intent.”
Grow up Cary, a criminal action is something that will soon be forthcoming I,m sure, and then I think the files sharers would be wise to employ a lawyer to obtain damages, does a few billion in stolen bandwidth sound good folks ?
Notice folks, that he only said p2p companies would be liable if they did this and thats just his opinion ( as the criminal law states to interfere with data transfer or cause interference to data transfer is an offence) , its ok for anyone not a member of any of those companies to design third part add on,s or workarounds to block the criminals.
