Hi Zenith,

Welcome to the site.  I believe you are already using the 3.0 patch from WinMX Group so we should have you come to our help room where we can have you test downloads and try to diagnose your problem.

WinMxWorld.com Help_E3D7EFD50D3D   or
WinMXWorld.com HideOut_651CA0D90D3D

Click on the Chat button, and then in the filter bar copy and paste the above channel name, then click the Join button on the far right side.

This should get you to us to help you better.. thanks

Hi I have a big problem and need some help:
I have a SpeedTouch 121g wireless modem with a USB adapter and since 2 weeks I can't dl anything from winmx. No songs no movies nothing at all. Winmx is just finding nothing.
Winmx is jumping from online to seeking and back to online but finds nothing at all.
When online it says P=3 or 4 and S=0 and SPM = 0 ( whatever that means )
I hope somebody can help because this is a bit frustrating
I am using ports 6699 and 6257 on windows XP Home with ADSL internet connection
Thanks in advance for any help

Do you have a firewall? Then you need to allow winmx in that, that is, put winmx in the trusted application list and you also need to forward ports to the firewall
If you have no firewalls installed, then there is the Xp firewall which is on by default
D tell what happened
Cheers :P
Reconnect to winmx with the blocking patch :)

First check the Windows firewall hasn't enabled itself (it sometimes does). Instructions to configure it for WinMX can be found Here: https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/firewall.html
I wouldn't personally recommend running with no firewall.

Then check any port forwarding you have done is correct, the commonest problem being that a static LAN IP wasn't set & the router's DHCP server has issued your PC a new IP & is continuing to forward ports to the old one.

You might also consider trying the newest beta patch as an alternative, if your modem/router supports uPnP (most recent ones do) installing that & choosing new ports in settings may resolve it & also avoid the situation arising again..

You can read about the beta test here: https://forum.winmxworld.com/index.php?topic=2932.0.html

Please also keep your windows firewall on That is the minimun protection that is needed for a safe computer. You might consider installing an antivirus too if you don't have one too

I have changed to secondary connections and in the settings changed to not able toreceive UDP and TCP connections and can't do anything about it.
Now it works.
I just don't know if this will affect my amount of searches and dl speed
anyway thanks for any help

It will prevent file transfers with anyone else set the same way, generally it's a "last resort" type setting for that reason..

Did you try the new beta I linked to thread for in my last post?
