Folks ,I bet you would like to know the answer to this simple question, who gets cash from the interest groups/Cartels and supports them in congress as well as taking the salary paid to them from the US taxpayers ?
Well today I can give you those figures.

These are the ones for last year as they are released on a cycle and the latest figures are for 2006 and therefore incomplete.
(if you would like to look at the figures already in for that financial timeframe look   here)

Barbara Boxer (D-Calif)                         $740,260

Maria Cantwell (D-Wash)                        $120,000
James W. DeMint (R-SC)                        $38,750
Byron L. Dorgan (D-ND)                        $111,365
John Ensign (R-Nev)                              $35,500
Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas)              $48,725
Daniel K. Inouye (D-Hawaii)                   $89,955
John Kerry (D-Mass)                             $3,633,393
Frank R. Lautenberg (D-NJ)                    $36,250
Trent Lott (R-Miss)                                $60,250
John McCain (R-Ariz)                            $509,917
Ben Nelson (D-Neb)                              $28,250
Bill Nelson (D-Fla)                                $132,400
Mark Pryor (D-Ark)                              $52,750
Jay Rockefeller (D-WVa)                       $49,000
Gordon H. Smith (R-Ore)                      $78,181
Olympia J. Snowe (R-Maine)                  $34,650
Ted Stevens (R-Alaska)                        $84,621
John E. Sununu (R-NH)                         $48,200
David Vitter (R-La)                               $21,181

I have highlighted some of the well known anti p2p speakers for you to make an informed judgement on who you may not wish to support in elections of the future.

I wish to thank the Center for Responsive Politics for the hard work they have put in making material such as this available to us all.
