BUG: Cannot set path to WINMX.EXE

Anyone know where the path can be edited, cant find it in the Registry or folder

on which basis i'd advise you to simply not use it

indeed, quite a few "winmx speed up" programs around, and they generally are spyware... and the ones that do something do so by attacking other users and the network as a whole and generally make no difference to download speed even after attacking everyone else, not very nice

Yeah it has an embedded adware in it. Also such applications are harmful to your computer as well as winmx. They jamm the network with repeated searches. So best not to use it at all

I have seen this app a few times now under many variant names and never works in all the versions I have seen.

new.net is the worst kind of spyware, because they infect systems with their spyware, then say "if you pay us then those infected users can see your website, although nobody else can" - the spyware backs up the scam site...

but that would be going off topic...
