Search result oddities & Saving Search-page data

What's with the .com Search results that come up from time-to-time, obviously a scam? I installed the latest patch (multiversion 3.0) on my 3.31 WinMX version, which I thought was supposed to block phony results (among other things), but I've been getting these bogus search offerings on occasion with .com addresses tacked onto the end of the song title listing.
Also, how is it possible to have a negative number in the Status column on the right-hand side of the WinMX Search window? I'll see "-2 of 2 available", or something like that for some songs.
Also, is it possible to Save the Search page, i.e. the Search info I entered, and maybe the results as well? Anytime I close the program and then re-open it later, I have to re-enter all the search titles I want to look for. I'd also love to be able to save the results that come up, since sometimes they're really hard songs to find but I can't wait in line for them at the moment. I do realize they're saved in the Transfers page, but I've never ever (not even once!) gotten a song to download from there by right-clicking and choosing "Find sources now" (or by letting it periodically "Find resources not" on its own, automatically).
Thanks a lot for your help, and for this awesome forum -- Joanne.

sometimes you see a few websites trying to advertise on winmx, normally not that bad, we've only seen one of them that was bad enough to need filtering and they left a while back - thankfully though it is not a problem here just an occasional thing that's easy to ignore, unlike most p2p networks
a status with negative slots means that extra transfers have been started, if you have 2 slots and both are in use it is 0 of 2 available, if you then manually start another user it becomes -1 of 2 available - most of the time it is extra transfers started by mxmonitor but of course sometimes it is done manually
as for saving search results... no, because they would generally be useless later on, if you search again and can't find the users then they are probably not online any more so you couldn't download anyway, of course it could be just the search missing them for a small number of users, but generally if a couple of search attempts turn up nothing, they aren't there

Huh? What does that mean - the bit about mxmonitor starting automatic "extra transfers"?
Re. saving the Search page, I hear ya about Search results becoming obsolete once you've closed down. But if not the results, how about saving the song titles that have been input, so the user needn't enter that data again each time they open the program after not successfully downloading those titles (as has been the case for me lately)? I'm guessing there's no way to do that either, huh?

MxMonitor is an extra program that is able to start uploads automatically fopr certain users, does trades and is able to block people from uploading if they don't meet certain requirements.
The -2 of 2 available generally means that this person has opened 2 additional slots for uploads.
You can set the number of uploads starting automatically in File
Transfers > Queueing
in
Max total uploads
.
That's the 2 available slots.
If you now start one of the people in your queue manually by right clicking on it and selecting "start transfer" an additional upload slot will be opened, you now have -1 of 2 available
If you start the next person it will be -2 of 2 available etc...

Oh, okay, I think I get it....
So, how does one get that program/special status. And what do you mean by "uploads" starting automatically for those users? Isn't an "upload" when someone else takes music off of YOUR drive?...That, and when you load music onto your own system via a CD, to share it with others in WinMX?

There are links there to MXMoni and also a tutorial.
https://www.winmxworld.com/files/mxmoni.exe
https://www.winmxworld.com/tutorials/mxmoni.html
Uploads are when you are uploading or sharing your files to another user. It is giving, as opposed to downloading with is taking. You can set a limit on the number of people you allow WinMX to upload to at anytime. But if you run MXMoni you can add a name, such as "LovelyMXSharer" to MXMoni, and when "LovelyMXSharer" tries to download a file from you, it will start automatically, because MXMoni recognises the name and has an extra upload slot reserved for her.
Still
(confused) then just download it and try it and you will see what it can do.

Thanks for the explanation of MXMoni. I probably won't try it to be honest, Uploading doesn't really concern me much.
Now, if there was a program to expediate Downloads, THEN I'd be interested!
