Winmx transfer window display
« on: September 17, 2006, 07:45:11 am »
I am running XP pro Svc pac 2, Interl Celeron 1.80 ghz, 640 mb or ram, Winxm 3.54 beta, and Mxmonitor.  My problem only happens after I've been connected to Winmx for long periods of time, e.g. overnight and only happens in the the transfer window.  My screen losesmy display of files, both incoming and outgoing. It shows, maybe 1 or 2 lines of files, but no more. The only way i get them to reappear is clicking the settings tab and clicking to close it or clicking on the line of one of the files on my list. The files reappear for about one second and disappear again. The speed of both incoming and outgoing remains consistent, no problems with that part, but i just can't see the files.
I have searched the forums for any problems similar to mine but didn't find any.  If anyone knows more about this and knows a solution, please let me know!  thank you!

Try right-clicking on the winmx icon in your system and selecting 'reset all windows'. Failing that an mx restart or system boot to restore memory.

if you are using windows XP then there is also a bug with the MFC libraries in XP that causes display problems (due to the constant opening/closing of whois windows) - microsoft has released a hotfix for it (you can get it here) although it's only for SP2, if you don't have SP2 then there is no fix for the bug, but there is a workaround you can do

although that problem normally manifests itself in the form of the winmx window going blank and just having white patches all over etc...
