hiyaaaa since i d/l the latest patch ive noticed that in my q there is the same file n user twice if i clear one of them it comes back this happens a lot just like to know why this happens?

It happens usually in opennap .....
Try telling him that he is downlaoding the same file over and over again. They think that by click multiple results, they can get the downlaod faster, forgetting that it is not possible in opennap.....

If your not using opennap and still having this problem:
What happens is this, you change over to 3.54 which has a slightly different arrangement on sharing your files and folder. If you share say a folder called My Music, then inside you had a folder named My MP3s. You shared the My Music folder then it asks you when you do this 'Would you like to share Sub Folders' .. if you allowed it (its allowed by default) then went and individually shared the My MP3 folder also WinMX 3.54 sees it as two different files. Some folks do this on purpose thinking it will increase the speeds its uploaded at, there are better ways to do that.

My best advice is to visit here:

Read through that, then unshare and re share your files so that its only sharing one copy of it.

I will stick my two cents in here. These ppl know full well what they are doing and none of them have responded to my messages. I believe they are purposely sending the same file from different servers to purposely leech files and to make sure they get it. I usually will allow one to download if I have my doubts, but ignore all the rest coming from different servers. It's really irritating.

Yep it sure is irritating.....
Thank god there is an ignore button....
Alternatively, you can also unshare that file temporarily until that person has downlaoded enough copies from else where
