There are no details available at the moment as to what fixes/improvements will be made in this update to Firefox, but it is likely to include a fix for a password flaw uncovered last month.
In other Firefox-related news, BetaNews is reporting that Firefox is still growing in marketshare despite Microsoft’s recent Internet Explorer 7.0 release. According to the latest numbers from WebSideStory, Firefox’s share has risen from 9.84% in mid-October to 10.7% currently. On the other hand, Internet Explorer has dropped from 89.1% to 88.2%.
Before you all rush off to update, please take note that if you have the Google toolbar installed there have been reports of crashing, but all other items seem fine and users are generally pleased.
