Share Your Files (PLEASE READ THIS)

I have been using WinMx for years now before and after the crash, i have noticed that people are being really stupid when it comes to sharing files. I personally share everything i have and at the moment i do not have enough Hard Drive Space for anything else lol but ill sort that within the next two to three months.

How can we encourage users to use WinMx when the file sharing ratio is shit. If you have media please share it because when myself and others recomend WinMx as a File Sharing Application people might use it alot more if file where shared more. Last week i told 13 people that despite what they read on the Internet WinMx is back up and running and for that matter running better than ever. Those 13 people tried WinMx and only 3 are using it now and the replies i got was not enough files.

Please give me your views.

People are now sharing more files now than before.
I remember when I first came here, a search on "winston Churchill" would yeild if you were lucky perhaps 50 results.

The last time I searched again, I was suprised to get in excess of 250 results. (must have been connected to a lucky primary ) I adimt that I was never was lucky like that again. But it does show that there are more people now.
I believe opennap was shut at that time too (shut = I wasn't connected to any servers)

Search results can vary depending on the primary you are connected to...
Varying search terms and all also affects things.
There are very few things that I don't find on winmx. And most of what can't be found haven't been found by me anywhere else either.
typicially, a few refreshes and a few more attempts have allowed me to get even the most hard to find file. And with opennap, I have always without exception managed to get hits for everything I wanted.

point is: be a little patient and you can then see the fruit. I don't think that those other 10 did try more than even once for the file they wanted. Popular songs and videos are easy to find and most of the time, fast as well.

the thing is, i have done searches and see like 250 results, you click in a few that show 14 out of 15 available and you find you are 236th in a que, when the search even refreshed shows 14 out of 15 avail... yet ur in a huge que and might get what you want next week if they are still online.
someone in my que (he was 2nd) had over 100 people in his que and allowing one at a time to load off him, looking in his 2000+ files it was 99% movies and out of them 98% porn, hence the huge que.

i bought a 4 yr. sub to winmx yesterday. when i went in i did not have a library list. since i had bear share and lime wire for awhile i clicked "media search" thinking that would bring over my other playlist. ABOUT 30 HRS. NOW - IT IS STILL GOING THRU MY FILES AND FOLDERS! STILL NO LIBRARY . HELP PLEASE.

we don't advise telling it to go and check your entire hard drive and share everything, not because of the fact it might take a while, but because it will share anything it finds, no matter if you wanted it shared or not
