Unable to connect WITH Patch

[Help PLS!]

Hey everyone. I am sooooo glad to hear WinMx is up and running for you guys..... Ok I uninstalled WinMX when it went down.  Tongiht I downloaded it again. Version 353 and 354 (Beta).  I installed the patch for xp also. Ok, When I went to INSTALL WinMX..... it says it was not a familiar system 32 program or something to that effect. So,,,, I chose SOCKS..... at that point, I got to the sign on screen with the yellow light....
I did, then install the patch into my ETC. Folder, and renamed the old Host file to Oldhosts....... Any ideas? I am on 56 k wich sucks..... help guys, Please!

WinMX has not ever been a windows system .. please install winmx to your Program Files

The patch go in the C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc  folder

If you dont see a host file inside that 'etc' folder  do a search of the puter.. then place the new file there

And do...
Start > Run > Type CMD > ipconfig /flushdns
