No one can download from me

Hello all going well i have set up Wimx and router right and  Static IP

but when iam in winmx no one can dowload from me any  whys this?? but i can dowload from them
or do i have to reset winmx router static ip
iam running Zone Alarm as well
any help on this be good

Well, did you go to winmx>settings> in out TCP and Incoming UDP and set the option to linten to port no xxxx(The number you forwarded)?

Also go here: and just double check if your ports are open or not....

Also im curious if when you fixed that IP address in your Belkin to the correct one what ever happened.. you left the help room and I never heard back from you about that?

hello sorry about that when itry fixed my IP adders  as soon i did that we had a power cut here that went for 3 hour;s  but i did pop back to in the room last night  I think its you night time where you are

I  have it going now but its set on Unable to accept incoming TPC Connections/ Unable to send or receive UDP datgrams on any port  so don't no if that's any good at all  .Whats  a good time to be in your room /what sthe room called Thanks

And well its hard to say.. im around at different hours and IceDragon is usually around or someone else if im not.. so anytime is a  good time. 

I would much prefer to get your set up correct.. using that unable is only a last resort or to use for Dial up or users behind a NAT device that is not accessible for configurations.

Hello Me Here ! I tried that website for the port tester and was told that my TCP port is closed and would probably fail to download.  I have it set to default and was wondering if I should set it to something else?

Datmo that depends on your router settings.. if you have one.. and your firewall settings also. .there are many reason it could fail..

Can you give me more information about your system set up?

Me Here I am not sure of what you need to know and I myself do not know if I have a router,but this is a new computer ,so maybe I do. I have McAfee security center and have disabled the firewall.I also have windows defender and windows firewall,but I have disabled those also. Another program I have is called Big Fix.  I have a Vista home basic with a 32 bit and also have something I have seen on here before and I think it's called Qs or Q something packet . I have it set to enable it .Well,I don't know what else to tell ,but hope you can help .

OOps another thing is I tried changing my ports in Win mx and shut it  down and do I have to be connected to change these? Anyhow,I changed them and was not connected and went to try to connect to my dial up and was unable to. I have changed them back to default. I have typed this info down on here before but here it is again. I am able to open it up and it turns green and I click search for a singer and get a list. I then click it and try to download,but it says connecting and then turns red as I notice this to be a not matching file and then when I try to search for something else,it never shows anything. Sometimes I also notice that the winmx will show as online for 2 minutes,then restarts all over .  I have enabled sharing also for what little music files I have.

Ok Datmo,

Here are the things.. one is that Windows defender and WinMX dont work together, and disabling it is not enough, I have yet to see one person that works for so I advice you uninstall that and reboot.  Second is to use Default ports if any.  Incoming TCP 6699 and In/Out UDP set to 6257.

KM is working on getting a patch that works well with Vista, and to be honest that is mostly for primary users, usually Vista seems ok with secondary.  But if the above advice doesnt help (uninstalling Windows Defender and reboot) then you may want to have a read here:

Also since your on Dial Up, no you do not have a router or NAT capable modem (router like).  That is only seen with HighSpeed Connections or what we call Broad Band.

The port numbers can be found in WinMX Settings > Incoming TCP = TCP Port
and In/Out UDP = UDP Port
