i deleted the host file(1KB)which used to be in the etc doc.
sigh..i missed the direction from admin & deleted the old one(cause i thought the old one is useless :( )

can anyone please help me..? how can i have the old host file back?

it isn't too important, in most cases you'll just have the default one anyway, which only contains one line...

127.0.0.1 localhost

that about sums up the original one

the only reason to back it up is if you use the hosts file for add blocking or whatever...
