Hey, is there an advantage to trading in the chat rooms versus regular search? Do those in that chat with the person have first chance at the files? Just wondering if I should be trying to join some chats.

Hi User,

This is sometimes true. Often folks give priority to those folks in rooms with them or folks that they know well. Thats not to say they dont share openly with others as well but, you may find the wait times longer. Not such a bad thing to join a room, there are wonderful rooms with great friendly folks in them that can help make your time on WinMX more of a unique experience and help you with many things not just getting files finished.

I would suggest to anyone to find some rooms they like, visit them and try them out.. find ones with similar likes and interests you have.. its a wonderful way to give and get support.

I think sometimes us regulars to the chat forget that there is a large group of users out there old and new that dont use the chat or never have.. and they are missing out on a wonderful part of the WinMX Experience.

How do you give priority to one person? I would have liked to do that to those who I have gotten a lot of good files from, but did know how?

Lets say you have three slots for uploads, and then you right click the name in your que and choose start transfer.. this will cause it to start and be the fourth slot.

Use auto upload settings in MxMonitor. Then you can set an extra slot for that person to upload on.

Hey, you get allot more chance of getting a file through a chatroom that just through searching it. Well that's what i think anyway. Members in chatrooms get more priority than just regulars. So if your a member you get the movies faster. Some chatrooms may require you to wear a tag which is usually the initials of there chatroom.
