RIAA Companies Aim To Savage 10yr Old In LawSuit
« on: March 25, 2007, 11:24:39 pm »
Yes folks a new low from the scum calling themselves RIAA members

Could I first ask you all to spread the word of this case and ask folks to boycott the companies bringing it until this suit is dropped
The lowlife companies you should refuse to purchase goods from are  Atlantic Recording, Priority Records, Capitol Records, UMG Music and, BMG Music.

The RIAA is insisting on deposing Tanya Andersen's 10-year-old daughter in Atlantic v. Andersen, in Oregon. The child was 7 years old at the time of the alleged infringement.

The reason for this open blackmail move was to try to force a climbdown by the child's mother who have consistently denied downloading anything.
This suit then is designed to attack and punish her children solely and for no other reason than because she has stood her ground and refused to settle payment because she had not committed any offence and therefore saw no reason why she should say she had and pay the copyright mafias demands.

The most likely reason this is action is being taken is because the child's mother is suing the recording industry under the racketeering statutes for extortion and other crimes.

This is the case peer-to-peer file sharers have been waiting for. Tanya Andersen, a 41 year old disabled single mother living in Oregon, has counter sued the RIAA for Oregon RICO violations, fraud, invasion of privacy, abuse of process, electronic trespass, violation of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, negligent misrepresentation, the tort of "outrage", and deceptive business practices.

Even hardened criminals don't bring defenceless children into disputes.
We are seeing a new low from the RIAA members, one more reason to purchase nothing from them and encourage others to do the same.

"depositing" looks like she is more like a television set or a stach of documents...
* SamSeeSam  wonders how much a 7 year old would know about P2P
as long as there is a reasonable judge, there is hope..

It looks like a Judge has put paid to the RIAA plans to scare the living daylights out of a child who refuses to be coerced into making a statement the RIAA  need to avoid a racketeering suit.

RIAA lawyers had planned to personally interrogate Kylee, who was only seven when the labels first decided to sue her mother, face to face. And they were very clear on this.
But judge Donald Ashmanskas has put an end to that idea. The RIAA can speak with Kylee, he's ruled, but at her home, and by telephone only.
This is the second time Ashmanskas has put paid to RIAA schemes. Last year he ruled that if the Big 4 enforcement unit wanted a look at Andersen's computer hard drive, she could hire her own expert, and the RIAA would have to foot the bill.

Nor is Mrs Andersen caving in.
She's suing the RIAA under the Oregon RICO (Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization) Act.

How low do you have to be to target children to obtain revenue ?

The entire idea of them interrogating a 7 year old is sick, perverse, and shows they will try to intimidate ANYONE if they think they can get away with it.

Grown adults trying to scare a child into submission proves that the entire system is corrupt and these bastards need to be eradicated.
