Connected Again thx 2 "patch" but no channel list

I'm pretty computer dumb, but did manage to get reconnected today following Vladds instructions.  I can get in but can not get a channel list in the chat world.  And all my favorites are gone out of my saved list.  Not sure if that is just something that has been happening or if I need to do something else.  I have to connect secondary but have unshared my files for now.

And thanks to those of you that know what your doing to help those of us that don't!

best thing to do is forget the hosts patch and install the already patched version of winmx, you can find it on this site

its called install 1.9 exe fix for winmx then install that in the normal way and run it, it will auto install over any existing winmx

Although I agree that the Patch Max mentioned is a more perminant solution, your specific problem may actually be a router/dsl modem or firewall blocking the ports that WinMX uses to get a channel list and do searches..
