Trouble With New Patch

I am still having trouble even with the new simple patch I just downloaded from this site.  The instructions say to stop using the pther patches that changed the host files.  I m not sure how to do this.  Can anyone help me?

the changed hosts file shouldn't cause a problem, but you should change it back... when you first run the patch it should ask if you want it to try and fix it itself if you aren't too sure
