Great news folks, Ouka has released an Alpha version of his updated chat client, this one features a new plugin.

New features

URL catcher plugin - Allows to to open a browser from web links shown in the chat room.
New settings tab layout - You can now adjust the colours of many more items amongst other settings additions.
Peer cache selection - Its now possible to directly select the peer cache you wish to join the network with.

Overall this client has had some cosmetic enhancements that make the "look" of the client just that more smooth and professional, the only problem seen thus far is that one of the plugins is in Japanese and appears in the user menu in Japanese, this then is probably a minor issue that no doubt ouka will remedy when informed, all in all a nice release

Remember folks this is an alpha release and no doubt other releases will follow so please do not use as your main client just yet unless your prepared to accept any bugs.

Whilst we where down folks I was unable to let you all know of a few new releases of this client

Unfortunately I cant see whats been changed and the site has no release notes so but its no doubt either a bug fix or new feature test.

Back again folks

After looking a little I found some more information about the 22nd and 23rd releases. The 22nd release is a test version that includes whois and IM sending and receiving, the 23rd release fixed a very small typing error and featured nothing new.

It great to see Ouka working on this latest project, be sure to give it a look over as it may have something good in it I havent spotted.

For those wondering how to get the md5 hash of a file this free tool is recommended
