WinMx freezing up on me

Can someone please help me understand why every 10 to 15 seconds WinMx freezes up for at least 20 seconds at a time.  I am using ver 3.54 with the patch. My system is Windows XP Home edition. With a pentium 4 chip 3.60 GHz. Any help is greatly appreciated.

is winmx set to a primary or secondary connection?

also do you have any addons installed (mxmonitor, bendmx, etc)?

Thanks for the reply.    I am on secondary.I cannot connect on primary.  I have no add ons.

hmm, ok...

try unsharing everything you have shared and clearing any incomplete downloads, if the fixes it then slowly re-share your files bit by bit then re-add your downloads bit by bit to see if it's just something with one of those causing the problem
