Can't search
« on: June 13, 2007, 06:35:44 am »
All of a sudden, I am unable to search and the downloads I had started will no longer find sources.  I have cleared them all and uninstalled/re installed Winmx.  I am still unable to search...it says searching for files, but nothing comes up.  I have tried with many different searches.  Please help!!!!!!!!

UPDATE

Ok In the primary connection mode, I am unable to search or download.  In the secondary connection, I can search, but am unable to download.  It just keeps turning red and purple every 10 mins.

Hi gini Are u using the winmxgroup patch? ( says patch operational) up top in the update bar.
Or are u using a router/dsl modem  by any chance and have ports forwarded for winmx to work correctly? if so sumtimes the LAN IP changes for whatever reason and your port forwarding will need redone using the new IP thats assigned to your PC.Is anybody able to upload from you?

a little more info from you wiil help you get your problem resolved faster. If you could answer the above questions that would help. Also mention any firewalls u may be using.

please recheck any port forwarding you may have done in the past, it's quite common for your internal ip to change & cause symptoms like this
