This was the only change to my hosts file after installing the new patch:
# The following line (if present) was added by the patch to load the update notification bar message
# If there is no entry here performance will not be affected,
# but you will not see notifications of patch updates
nothing else was written in the hosts file, so I can't see messages on the update notification bar, can I enter it manually? If so can someone post what to enter, thanks.
