MXConrtol News - Final Warning

It Seems folks that Bender is fast reaching the end of his patience with how the MxControl site is operated.

Hello,

yes I am still alive and I still check this site from time to time. I am getting really unpleased though with how the site and the MXControl community developed since my leaving the active-supreme-overlord-position of MXControl....

The new Administrators continually fail to follow the guidelines I set when I started this project. MXControl was ment to be Free AND Open. Where are we today? Everything gets closed and a lot of stuff is only accessible to a limited number of users. In addition to that and I am really really pissed about that is, that some people are not only abusing the free hosting which sourceforge is providing to us, but also violate the license my programs are distribute under, which is the GNU General Public License. They not only willingly violate the license terms by NOT providing the sourcecode of the modifications they made to the programs but they continue to do so after I pointed out to them that what they are doing is violating the license. I have not and I will not dual license ANY programs I released on MXControl. If you do not give access to the sourcecode to all modifications made to my applications (which must be released under the GPL too) you VOID your license to use the programs. By failure to comply to the GPL you are also violating the rights of other projects, because there are parts of other GPL programs in my programs (RoboMX uses some parts of Shareaza for example).

So this will be an ultimatum:
1) The active admins MUST change the site to comply with sourceforge.net's policy
2) Release the sourcecode to all modifications made to RoboMX, Metis, roboServ, MXControl-bot, ShareGuard and BendMX under the GPL (LGPL in case of BendMX) and make it publicy available. If you do not want to release it you must ceise distribution of binary copies of these applications.
3) Open up the forum (This is the 1000th time I warned you about this point)

Failure to meet these conditions will cause the following actions:
1) I will close down MXControl (Yes I can still pull the plug)
2) I will report any license violations to gpl-violations.org which will have legal consequenses for you (yes you know who I am talking to...)
3) I will inform the other projects from which I use GPLed sourcecode of the violation of the license, which might have addtional consequences

The time-limit for this is August 1st 2007

This is my last and FINAL warning!!!

Bender...

Lets hope someone sorts this out soon or we may lose this valuable resource

It's not as if Bender is asking for anything that shouldn't be the case in any event...
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for he shall not be disappointed.

somehow, his demands are not at all demanding
* SamSeeSam didn't realise when he first went to the mxcontrol site that it was a sourceforge project, simply because it wasn't like one.

Cheers :P

First of all Bender is nice to have you here.

About where we are...:

The new Administrator of MXControl isnt fall out the guidelines of SF and your project.
About the lot of stuff is not accessible:

All downloads are free NO REGISTER NEED IT TO DOWNLOAD A FILE!
Forum no i will still have it closed, the last time i listened to you and i open the forum to Free Guest post i freak out when i come a day and i see over 100 post with spam! As Guest you can View Forum, Read Forum, Download a File and all the other but Guest posting NO WAY! And this is the last time i say this. Ok? Thanks and im continue this discussion...

About the Licenses in your application all application RoboMX, BendMX, Metis, SG, RoSe and e.t.c. STILL OPEN SOURCE!!!, im starting a new version of RoboMX the 2.09 Chocolate Edition yes i release some Beta Test version to 4 users to test it and give me feedback with bugs! As you remember the same you do with the SG in the first version, And i do the SAME!!! dont tell me about the license now, and i cant all ways run back from a developer to give me Source Code, when B&M start play with Metis after the first version i tell it to give and the Source Code.

About now the SourceForge policy i read your topic about the SF Logo and powered by SF and all this thinks i remember this and i will do it when my new provider give me the new line im waiting over 1 month to take this line, ALL HERE KNOW THIS... and waits.

When i read this post i get angry and i come now in this section of this post:
