Program "Trunk" is possibly SPY, Malware, Virus.

The software, "Trunk",  provided on this website with address, http://winmxworld.com/archive/RingLord/Trunk/Trunk2005.zip  , is very possibly SPYware, Malware, and Virus.
I was using WinMX to download some movies and the movies data got some errors and had the "file mismatched" error and couldn't continue to loading.  Consequentially, I found this "Trunk" application on this site and used it to resolve that problem when my internet connection was ON.  When I initiated this "Trunk", it must have detected my internet connection and tried to send outgoing connection to the internet.  This malicious activity Was Caught and Stopped by my firewall fortunately!
So, users must Beware of this software!!!!

Advanced users, please help to test this software and confirm my experience for the majority of average users!!

The program you mention is unlikely to be any of the above HMC as its been out there a long time and has never flagged up as such on any other machine, can I suggest to you this is a likely "false positive"

Can you tell us what antivirus or anti spyware program flagged this up ?

Fixed this post for you HMC the links flag up somtimes to protect the site from being spammed..
