They are nothing to do with winmx , please give the IP being flagged up if you want more details, or alternatively make your way over to here

http://www.bluetack.co.uk/forums/index.php

And ask them why its listed.

Hmm I see it does go to China but there seems no hostname details available for that IP just this  CNCGROUP Heilongjiang province network.

Perhaps its some Chinese youths looking for open doors on your machine, its often simple for folks to learn of an exploit that uses a certain port and scan the internet for folks on that port and then try to obtain access, of course as you can select random ports for many apps its not the best method to try to obtain access but it seems if it wasnt a reliable method they would stop using it, anyway nothing to be upset about as its obviously not being allowed to connect or breaching your firewall., if you do not have a firewall on/installed this is one of the reasons to obtain one.

I had a look over the BISS forums and they have switched off their search site function except to members and nothing would make me want to join those jokers so sorry I cant help with locating the real reason its there.

hello
I have no idea where I am
I have peer guardian and was looking at the blocked ip addresses
I copied one and put on the search engine .... That's how I got here
I am curious as to why so many places keep pinging my computer
I am on Dialup if it matters
and why the chinese keep pinging me
Is it anything?
and the DoD?
Just curious if anyone can enlighten me a bit
I don't know much about all this
maybe point me to a place that can explain in laymans term?

My suggestion in laymans terms is to stop using it Bob, it's a program that has innocent IP,s on its blocklist to ensure folks get at least a few dozen hits an hour just looking around the web, this of course makes such a programmes user feel its worth having but it really isnt if all your doing is triggering off of out of date IP lists that now hold one third of the entire internet in its list.

We do not ask folks to use Peer Guardian or suggest its use , for this reason I also dont intent to support its use.
