Saving messages?

I find that if I read a series of messages, each one disappears as I click "read next". Are they completely purged or is there a way to retrieve them?

Hi Jimr

I usually save ims as I go along if I needing to. I save them to a note pad or word.

Unfortunatley you cant get the messages back after you have read them.

if while on the first message you choose the option 'Chat' from the buttons instead of reply this will list all messages in one box for you but it still wont save them and you will loose the first one too still... in cyber space they go
