The 43-year-old Port Macquarie man has been charged with using a carriage service, namely the internet, to download images of child pornography.

Australian Federal Police (AFP) launched an investigation into the man's actions after being contacted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Computer equipment, disks and videos allegedly were seized during today's raid and will undergo forensic testing, the AFP said.
