Ive Just recently Joined WinMX World and would be glad to answer any questions concerning converting and burning movies,ripping them and Etc.I am a Computer Tech in Ohio with a buisiness,Im posting my site below.Thank You,South.

well theres a few things u have 2 look at what d/l manager r u using if its winmx well I havn't been able 2 view and of the vids i have dl from there but some of the others do allow u to do it firstly u can use your windows media player (just look arround for the codex un need and r compatable with the player) or u can just dl the free divx player if your vids r in divx or if it's avi your looking at there are some nice compact programs that r free to dl.  Hope this will help

If it's an mpg file you can just right click and select "play" - for avi it's a little more complicated.
Avi files can only be watched in media player when they're complete, so you can't watch the incomplete while it is actually transferring.
Some Players like VLC should be able to play the incomplete file and there's always AviPreview (google for it ;))
If you want to check the file while it is downloading however you need to make a copy first and open that with Avipreview then.

when you've downloaded a movie,how do u compress it so u can burn it to dvd

To start off with you need to convert any downloaded avi files to  a writable DVD Platform,The software i reccomend is winavi converter the 6.3 version seems to bring the best results,after its done converting burn the contents that its created with Nero which i think is the best tool to burn movies with on your DVD Burner ok,South"Good Luck"
