Through their MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), Time Warner, Viacom, Fox, Sony, NBC Universal and Disney have been aggressively targeting classrooms across the US, using teachers to plant specious corporate messages.
The idea is to “educate [read indoctrinate] millions of children about the importance of protecting copyrights,” say the studios blandly.
Schools slated for corporate invasion are in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas and the District of Columbia
Of course whilst we know the MPAA have proclaimed record takings again this year, they have been for the last year publicly misleading congress and senate and any other group who believes their fairy stories of losses, not even their own accountant surely believes that, he does after all see the reality on paper, I just wish the MPAA disinformation dept would learn to read its own figures.
To counter this corporate brainwashing ensure your child is informed of the many times the Cartel of MPAA/RIAA have derailed more fairer proposals and new technology when it suited them and that their only wish is to scare governments into creating them a more powerful monopoly as the MPAA and RIAA have been too lazy and stupid to work on building any sort of working infrastructure for their own future.
A copyright is a right of controlling copies of a work for a limited period of time, when you explain to your children how paid politicians have had this time limit extended time and again to suit their own selfish needs the picture becomes more clear, not only are they stealing off of the consumer but they are doing so for longer than ever before, thats the truth they will not tell your child, its your job to instill a sense of moral responsibility and fairness, and asking the next generation to rubber stamp tacit agreement on a commercial theives charter that calls itself the current US copyright law, is immoral in my book
