Downloads stall incomplete at 167,905 KB

Hello alltogether,

since some time, I an having troubles with 3 files I am trying to download.
One is a movie file, the two others are RAR archives. Now to the weird part:

All three files stall at 167,905,000 +/- some odd bytes! (The d/l speed goes down to zero)

All other downloads, smaller or larger partial files, continue ok, it's only those three files.

I have already clipped up to 1 MB off the end of the file. At the next connection, it loads the
clipped 1 MB ok, then stalls again at the exact same file size!

- I uninstalled WinMX and set it up from scratch (3.54b4). No change.
- I ran WinMX without MxMonitor. No change.
- I copied the files in question to another drive and manually resumed them from there. No change,
- I completely deleted the files in question from the drive and started downloading them again. No change.
- I installed a new HD and set up everything from sscratch. No change.

Now, I'm out of new ideas. Some of you have any? (And *NO*, unfortunately I can't tell you which files
these are - Big Brother RIAA/MPAA and other Nazis are watching...)

Update:

While I was typing the above message, another movie file went sour...
At the exact same file size!!!

You could sent me a PM of the filehash's and we can investigate this further if you wish Roger.

It does sound rather fishy, btw can you confirm if any of the partial files are valid, IE: they are what they say in the title ?
